| Alka May 19, 2004 09:28 AM PDT Ranjan, read this in Asian Age - "Did Kalam read Sonia Citizenship Act at noon?" http://www.asianage.com | ||
| S Simon May 19, 2004 01:53 AM PDT and i fail to realise the irony of the fact that people would actually wish/root/pray for the failure of a goverment... our prayers could be better utilised wishing for better governance and sensible politics and the fact that all those young blood turn out good... | ||
| S Simon May 19, 2004 01:48 AM PDT another round at Flame's and i am on dude... btw, regarding that precious little observation of yours "ringleaders of the gory massacre of Sikhs in 1984'... what would you say if I were to tell you that more than the congress, the sikhs in my area (i will not speak by and large) were hacked to death by the local BJP and Shiv Sena mobilised crowds?.. no, this is not another far-fetched conspiravy theory... i speak from my parent's experience and what they witnessed... BJP has already merrily jumped on the proverbial axe (to stretch a saying) by going all guns blazing against sonia gandhi.... ranjan, she is not even an issue.. why are we all giving her more importance than required? she has played the masterstroke of her political life, by far... lets see if the ball lands in the BJP's court or crashes through the goal post... i am not a political analyst, or even half as interested as you guys seem to be... i was impressed by your thorough knowledge... if I had that kind of an observation and cognition, and going by my gut feelings, i might've even raised my stake to '5 years at power'... but lets take 'em years one at a time as they come.. right? | ||
| Tarun May 19, 2004 12:11 AM PDT hey ranjan, first time here came through Alka's....nice posts. I believe govt. will celebrate at most one birthday.......... | ||
| :::LL::: May 18, 2004 09:13 PM PDT I only wish you win the bet... | ||
| Deepan May 18, 2004 06:56 PM PDT I am not sure if I want to bet with you here without judging this government's performance. I'll treat you anyway for the fact that the NDA government is not celebrating another birthday in power :) | ||
| Ravi May 18, 2004 04:19 PM PDT Hi Ranjan. You are going a bit overboard, a trifle prematurely. The youngsters(hopefully) will prevail on Ms. SG's common sense and ensure a balance, as far as portfolio allocation. The Congress party has just been given a lease of life and they are certain not to screw it up so early. I'm willing to bet that this govt. will hold for a year; unless, Atal & Co pull the rug, by sheer manipulation!!! | ||
| Alka May 18, 2004 03:15 PM PDT Ranjan, none of us knew about Ayodhya or Ram temple or anything. This person, thinking himself to be too smart, Rajeev Gandhi opened the lock of the temple and conducted Bhoomi Poojan. This person was responsible for the revival of the dead issue of Ram Temple. He handed over an issue to RSS and VHP. Later on when Ayodhya was happening the same party was in power in center. THEY DID NOTHING TO PREVENT THE DEMOLITION!! They were held captive by RSS goons. I don't know where was Congress party's Paramilitary, BSF, Army....... The country witnessed the unprecendented blood bath. Still they and their supportes have the gall to call this party and themselves a SECULAR party? I think they are the master of the game. If need arises they would even support Hitler terming him secular. They will stoop to any level ( remeber 1998 toppling of govt. by one vote, then refusal of ALL THE SECULAR PARTIES to form a govt?) to remain in power. | ||
| priya May 18, 2004 01:28 PM PDT We ( read secularists, non secularists, psuedo secularists, indians, foreign born indians, hindus, muslims, christians, jews and everybody else) will HOLD. I raise you a 'hot choc fudge' at Nirula that this govt will hold for a year. | ||
| Ritu May 18, 2004 12:28 PM PDT No bets but I would like to say AMEN to Ranjan! | ||
| delhi brat May 18, 2004 11:56 AM PDT I am on Ranjan. Five Bapus says that this government will complete it's first year. Deal ? | ||
